Tree beings collectively represent the lungs of the earth, when they breathe out we breathe in. From the air that we breathe to food, powerful medicine and shelter we have a symbiotic relationship with Trees from the moment we wake up in this life. When we were born trees were used to make cradleboards; our elders remind us too that trees are waiting for us when we get old and need something to lean on; those trees become canes.

 

In the end they carry our bones. We also learn to give tobacco as an offering when asking to harvest what we need. Trees stand ready to help when asked; it feels as though they are listening to you. Remember the gifts of nature and embody the giving spirit of trees while contemplating this piece. Trees are our teachers and protectors while we journey on our earth walks.
